Ages: Completed grades 10-12
Looking for a new challenge in your VLM camp experience? Ready for more than one week of camp? Interested in developing your leadership skills? Ever wondered what it may be like to work at camp? If you said “yes” to any of these questions, then our Leaders in Training (LIT) program might be for you! This program offers a leadership model to meet the needs of our current high school students. Leaders in Training campers will come for two program weeks of training. The first (June 23-28) will be specific training for the LIT cohort and the second which will be a mini-week (June 30-July 2) will provide opportunities to practice planning and implementing skills learned week 1, alongside their cohort of peers. LIT Training focuses on learning about theology, outdoor education, leadership skills, teambuilding, facilitating conversations, leading small and large group games, all the ins and outs of camp, and more! After the two programmatic weeks of training, LIT will come back to camp the same summer for anywhere from 1-3 weeks, serving as Leaders in Training in a cabin learning from our counseling staff, as support staff working with the entire community in the behind-the-scenes of camp, or with our canoe country program exploring what it means to be a canoe guide. This program is application-based. Once approved by our staff you will get a special code to register for camp!

Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry offers a wide variety of options for Senior High youth. Enjoy a more traditional week at camp or challenge yourself to try something new.
