Next to the beauty of our sites, our staff are what guests and campers encounter first when arriving at Camp Hiawatha and Camp Vermilion. A smile, warm welcome, and clean facilities go a long way to setting the tone for someone’s visit, and we take this first interaction seriously.
We are seeking year-round team members who are committed to helping our guests and campers have the best possible camp experience – whether that is at camp or over the phone. Our multi-site organization requires staff with strong communication skills as well as the ability to take initiative and work independently. A job at Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry can be demanding, so our staff encourages and supports each other, both professionally and personally. It is our hope that your co-workers truly do become your second family.

The privilege to change our world by investing in the lives of children is the best way to spend a summer.
Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry seeks to share Christ with every person who participates in our programs or steps onto our sites. Our summer staff play a vital role in this ministry so a summer with us is not a decision to take lightly.
We are seeking people who are open to the Holy Spirit and who are willing to be used to bless and impact the lives of others. A summer at camp can prove to be the hardest job you will ever have, but also one of the most rewarding experiences you will ever have.
As a VLM staff member, you will also have the opportunity to grow in your own faith, and you will be amazed at the things you will learn and do – skills you can take with you wherever you go. And the friendships that develop will last a lifetime!
