Camp Hiawatha and Camp Vermilion offer meeting space, overnight accommodations, and food service, making camp a great place to hold your next youth group retreat, crafting getaway, church council meeting, book club conversation, fishing weekend, or family reunion.

Housing - 102 in winter; 126 summer.
Retreat Center has 5 bedrooms (1 bunk, 1 double in 4 rooms; twin and double in 1 room), with bathrooms in the building. Meeting space ideal for 25 people, a fireplace, and a kitchenette are also located in the building.  The Retreat Center sleeps 10-18.

Lindberg Dorm has 4 rooms with 8 beds (4 bunks) in each room. Two double beds are available. Each room has a bathroom and shower. Sleeps 32-34 total.

Gloria Dei Dorm has 6 rooms with 8 beds (4 bunks) in each room. Two double beds are available. Each room has a bathroom and shower. Sleeps 48-50 total.

Private Cabins have 8 beds (4 bunks) in each of the 3 cabins and are near the seasonal bathhouse. Cabins sleep 24 total.  (seasonal)

Bring cross country skis, snowshoes, snowmobiles, and ice fishing gear to access great trails and fishing opportunities in the winter.

Housing – 36 in winter and 209 in summer.
Bakk House Retreat Center has 3 rooms with 4 bunks and 3 rooms with 2 bunks.  This space also includes a meeting space for 25, fireplace, sauna, bathrooms and showers .  The in-house kitchen allows you to cook your own meals or have a VLM staff cook them for you.  Sleeps 36.

Priest House This cabin used to house the Camp Director and is one of the oldest buildings at camp. It has 2 rooms with 6 beds (3 bunks) and a large living room overlooking the lake. There is also a small kitchenette and is located near a sauna and outhouse. Sleeps 12. (Seasonal)

Cabins: Many of Vermilion’s cabins have been recently renovated with pine paneling and new mattresses. Occupancy varies from 6-11.  All cabin are seasonal.

  • The Missionary Village sleeps 18 and overlooks the lake.
  • The Hillside Cabins each feature 2 rooms with 4 beds (2 bunks) and a center living space. Sleeps 32.
  • The Border Lakes and Tree Top cabins each sleep 11 and are conveniently located at the top of the hill near the bathhouse.
