VLM - Camp Hiawatha

Camp Hiawatha enjoys a great setting on Deer Lake, about 20 minutes north of Grand Rapids, MN. Campers stay either in log cabins or in a dormitory where each sleeping room has its own bathroom.

Campers stay either in log cabins or in the dormitories where each sleeping room has its own bathroom. The dorms are winterized and are available for year round retreats.

The landmark Chapel and Dining Hall stands tall in the center of the camp.  Our acres of lawn are perfect for running games and ball games.

 

Campers working together on "The Wall" - one element of the Low Ropes Challenge Course. Camp Hiawatha also has a basektball court, volleyball, sauna, a soccer field, a sandy swimming beach, a canteen, hiking trails, a ropes course, and a historic Log Lodge for special activities.

 
For those coming to Camp Hiawatha for retreats, we have a Retreat Center that provides a comfortable setting for your event The Dining Hall and dorms are also winterized. Come find out why Camp Hiawatha has become such a popular camp!
