Come and discover the difference between what is fleeting and artificial and what is eternal and natural

stand where wooly mammoth, saber-tooth tigers once stood
where bears, moose, loons, otter, beaver and many other creatures now freely roam
explore some of the oldest and wildest rock in the world
paddle and portage along fur trade routes once used by French voyageurs
sleep under the shooting stars
see God's prints in the northern lights dancing across the night sky
Along the way, we'll help you develop a stronger relationship with the God of all these gifts and with the others in your group.
For more than 40 years, groups from all over the country have voyaged to the Northwoods of Minnesota to explore the power and splendor of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area with the guidance of Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry's staff.

Now it's your turn to make your plans for next summer.  We at Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry (VLM) would like to invite you to join us in an adventure-based canoe trip involving challenge, trust, risk, sharing and exploring the unknown.

campsite-cv.jpg (38764 bytes) We provide you with canoes, tents, equipment, trail food and a Christian leader who is trained as a guide and will lead the Bible-based program.  All canoe guides are also First Aid and Lifeguard certified.

You will spend five days in the BWCA canoeing, fishing, swimming, enjoying campfires and taking advantage of the wildlife photo opportunities.  You will also spend a night at Camp Vermilion before and after your trip, complete with comfortable bed, sauna, hot shower and special BWCA banquet.
