We were blessed once again with perfect weather in July for the Bluegrass Festival! We welcomed 410 people to Camp Vermilion that Saturday and raised nearly $35,000 to support the ministries of Camp Hiawatha and Camp Vermilion, including $11,200 for the "Watch them Flourish" project to complete the new Dining Hall at Camp Vermilion!

We celebrated with great music from No Grass Limit, Jerusalem Road, Sloughgrass, and our new band the Holy Hootenaners. We also enjoyed amazing food - pulled-pork and porchetta spearheaded by Bob Dundas, Scooby Cheney, and Rev. Liz Cheney (prepared and served by the Camp Vermilion kitchen staff) and awesome pies baked by a Thrivent Action Team made of Youth and Family Ministry leaders from Trinity Lutheran Church in Cook! We thank the musicians, chefs, volunteers, and staff members for sharing so generously of their time and gifts to make this event possible, and to everyone who joined us at camp for the festival!
