A Note from the Campfire Kitchens

This summer campers of all ages will be trying out some new cookout recipes! We invite you to join in the fun using the recipes we share in each eTraveler this summer.

Breakfast Pizza - Explorers (7th-9th grade)

Ingredients (6-8 servings)

  • 1 lb sausage (pre-cooked)
  • 1 8oz package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 3 tablespoons diced peppers
  • 1 C. frozen has browns, thawed
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 1 C shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Unroll crescent rolls and line the bottom of Dutch oven with crescent rolls. Sprinkle cooked sausage, diced peppers, hash browns, sliced green onions, and shredded Cheddar cheese over crescent rolls. In a medium bowl, combine eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour mixture evenly over ingredients in Dutch oven. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over egg mixture. Place lid on Dutch oven, set coals around and on top of oven, and bake 20-30 minutes or until eggs are set.
