Work continues on the dining hall at Camp Vermilion. The electrical inspection is complete for the basement and all the electrical work done to date. Water lines in the basement and shower valves are being installed this week, so next week volunteers will start insulating the interior walls for sound-proofing purposes and hanging tongue and groove and sheet-rock. Installation of the metal roof began Tuesday. Volunteers will hang the vapor barrier and insulate the vaulted dining hall ceiling once the roof is complete. The kitchen hoods was also hung this week. The elevator is set to arrive February 26.
We thank the dedicated contractors, builders, and volunteers who are raising this building. We hope you can join us for a meal this summer.
