"Watch them Flourish" Update

Construction is moving along quickly on the new dining hall project at Camp Vermilion. On Monday more than 50 people from 27 different member congregations gathered for a Special Meeting of the Corporation, unanimously voting "yes" on the motion to "direct the Board of Directors to secure the full financing needed to complete the dining hall project at Camp Vermilion using the current collateralized property, Camp Vermilion.  And that the board continue to guide us as an organization to move forward with the goal of being debt free at the end of the project." The financing will allow progress to continue through the winter and enable campers, retreat groups, and guests to use the space as early as next summer.

This week work continued on the deck and roof. Most of the lakeside deck will be screened-in (including the floor) and will be a beautiful space to gather. This winter we'll be looking for help with interior work and woodwork. Please contact Gregg if you'd like to volunteer.

We're also excited to announce that this year when you donate online Nov. 12, "Give to the Max" Day, you'll also be donating to the "Watch them Flourish" campaign. Thanks to an anonymous donor, the first $25,000 raised will be matched, dollar for dollar, in a contribution to the new dining hall project. Visit our GiveMN page for more information!
