RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
There are a variety of rigorous indoor and outdoor activities under trained supervision, including traditional games, waterfront and nature hiking. Overnight and camping out in a tent are part of most sessions. The development of the total person is an important part of the camp program. Individual camper physical restrictions should be carefully noted to the camp nurse.

INSURANCE
The camp carries accident/injury insurance. This insurance is a modest secondary insurer policy, which will cover expenses your insurance company does not cover if injury is occurred while at camp. If you are not insured, the camp insurance will cover some medical costs. Please notify the camp office immediately if you have claim questions.

Mission Project
Each year, the camps emphasize a special mission project in which the campers are invited to support. Last years’ campers generously gave over $5200 which was used used for ELCA’s World Hunger Program. this year the mission is divided between - providing Spanish Bibles for our NEMN Synod's companion congergations in Hondoras, assisting Wilderness Canoe Base, our sister ELCA canoe camp that lost numerous buildings in last spring's BWCA wildfires, and tree planting at Camp Vermilion.

Mission
Project
Each
year, the camps have a special mission project emphasis in which the campers are
asked to consider supporting. Funds
from this year's Mission Project
will
help children in Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. Campers have seized the
opportunity to help with mission project in past years, and we look forward
to working with them once again. Their
gifts do make a difference. Last
year over $6000 was sent in support of "Stand with Africa"
a three year campaign organized by Lutheran World Relief, the ELCA World Hunger
Program and LCMS World Relief. Their mission is to support African
churches and communities as they withstand HIV/AIDS, alleviate hunger and build
peace. If
you would like to bring a much appreciated gift to camp, here is a list of a few
items which are always in high demand at camp:
Paper Plates, Paper
Towel, Toilet Paper, Dish Soap, Coffee, Chocolate Chips, Graham Crackers
(for S'Mores),
Kool-aid, Sugar
Thank
you!
